Anjelika Babekova attained her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from World Medicine Institute. She participated in a direct apprenticeship with Taoist Master Chang Yi Hsiang, Ph.D., who holds a 64th generation lineage to the Heavenly Taoist Masters of Long Hu Shan, Jiangxi Province, China. At Dr. Chang's clinic, Anjelika assisted in treating 20-40 patients a day with special emphasis on oncology, fertility, pediatrics, trauma, injury, and chronic immunology disorders. |
Anjelika has apprenticed with two Chinese Medicine doctors at Tripler Army Medical Center in their pain management unit. Anjelika has extensive training in Dr. Tan’s balance method with emphasis on needling techniques that effectively relieve pain, aid in rehabilitation, treat internal disease, and help patients deal with addictions and other psychological problems. She is also a certified Western Clinical Herbalist, a graduate of Southwest School of Botanical Medicine established by Michael Moore.
Anjelika currently has a thriving clinic in Honolulu, her skillset is very diverse, but her passion and specialty is pain management and psycho-emotional conditions. She works extensively with military veterans and participates as a volunteer in many evolving projects that incorporate specialty healing modalities for the treatment of PTSD, chronic trauma and pain.
Anjelika’s participation in the healing arts began over 25 years ago when she opened a metaphysical healing center where many tools for spiritual evolution were offered. These tools included books, meditation classes, inspirational speakers, life coaching and bodywork that incorporated energetic practices of the East and West. She had a thriving professional practice, and participated in the healing process of her many clients as well as offering spiritual counseling.
Beginning in 2006, she traveled for 3 years volunteering and learning about the energetic healing practices of South East Asia, India and South America. In Brazil, the groundwork was laid for her skills as a practitioner while deepening her understanding of the state of the mind and how it affects our body’s ability to heal.
On Maui, Hawaii Anjelika co-founded a Community Acupuncture & Herbal Clinic. She developed an extensive herbal apothecary and for the next 5 years treating 20 patients a day. She taught body and facial cupping and qi gung classes, and classes on the process of making medicinal ointments and salves for many applications including injuries, trauma, and other skin conditions. This is where she developed her own line of tinctures, medicinal salves and ointments, while wild crafting and processing the herbs according to classical Chinese and Western methods.
Anjelika believes that a healthy body includes a balanced, wholesome diet, exercise, a spiritual practice and maintaining vitality with herbs and acupuncture. Her approach to healing includes creating homeostasis in every part of your being; physical, emotional and spiritual. She addresses imbalances by making certain modifications to diet and lifestyle. This is essential to deep healing.
Her vision includes developing an herb garden in order that her patients can receive nourishment from locally grown herbs. She also wants to make traditional medicine affordable and accessible. She wants to see multiple health care practitioners under one roof collaborating with each other to offer a well-rounded health care opportunity. The modalities would include acupuncture, massage, chiropractic, physical therapy, spiritual psychology, nutrition, a healthy kitchen, herbal pharmacy, backyard herbs and yoga. “A smorgasbord of traditional healers all at an affordable membership fee. Isn’t that a great vision!”
